Will
it take a long time to computerise my files, and enter
them into the system?
You can enter your paper files in super-quick time!
We have paid special attention to your need to quickly
enter your personnel files. Skills DB has a ‘Fast
Data Entry’ screen that has been specially built
to permit your staff to quickly enter a person’s
important details. It will take you less than 30 seconds
to enter a person’s details using this screen.
It usually takes less than two weeks to enter the
details for two thousand people. Once the basic details
are added, you can add more information as time permits.

|
| |
|
Now
that I have entered my personnel into the system, how
can I search for them?
The searching modules in Skills DB are excellent.
There are two searching modules:
Quick Search:
To find people based on their name or skills. For
example, you can use this search to give you a listing
of:
• all the Secretaries you have in the database,
• or all people that have the first name ‘Milinda’
• or all the people whose first or last name
begins with ‘Mi’
• or any combination of the above
Advanced Search:
To find that special person with reference to ANY
piece of information. For example, use this search
to give a listing of all people that:
• are skilled as a Welder, and
• are under 30 years of age, and
• have an A-Level school certificate, and
• have done a training course in Welding and
Automotive Repair, and
• have been assessed by you as ‘good’,
and
• have worked in Jordan, and
• speak Arabic fluently, and
• are single, and
• have a valid passport
Once you have a list of people using either Quick
or Advanced search, you see view ALL the information
kept on that person from a single screen.
